Your Voice Counts
APCO Canada is proud to be the voice of public-safety communications officials across Canada.
Our goal is to strengthen member communications and create an open forum for conversation around industry trends, challenges, and questions that members may have about the public-safety communication industry.
During our upcoming APCO Canada Conference & Tradeshow, taking place in Windsor, Ontario from November 6 – 9, we want to hear from you. We want your voice to be heard. As our industry faces massive changes in process and technology while coming up against increasing demands from the public, we want you to have a forum to share your opinion.
Have your say in the APCO Canada #YourVoiceCounts campaign by taking part in one of the following activities leading up to and at the APCO Canada Conference & Tradeshow:
- What’s Next for NG9-1-1? Submit an article and share your opinion on what you believe to be the trends, challenges or opportunities for our industry as NG911 develops within our workplaces. The article can focus on the technology side of NG911 or the impacts to front line responders. Share your own editorial comments with APCO by submitting your article to firstname.lastname@example.org and you could be featured in one of our email blasts or in the conference program guide.
- Mental Health Matters! How is the issue of mental health affecting your workplace? Family? Personal development? What’s next for us as an industry when it comes to this hot topic? Submit your question or topic to our mental health hot topics panel, sponsored by the Mental Health Commission of Canada, via Twitter by using the hashtag #YourVoiceCounts. We will curate relevant and interesting topics that we can share and discuss at our annual hot topics panel discussion.
- APCO Canada Road Map. Have your say in what your professional association looks like in 5 years, in 10 years or in 20 years. Stop by the APCO Canada Booth at the upcoming 2017 Conference & Tradeshow and fill in the APCO Canada Road Map with what initiatives, programs, advocacy efforts and strategic direction you think APCO Canada should consider as they plan out their next 5,10, 15 and 20 years.
- Speak Out! Contribute to the APCO Canada #YourVoiceCounts video by stopping in at the APCO Canada booth during and share your answer to our questions. This footage will be used to create a short, promotional video that will be used to promote our members and the industry throughout Canada. While you’re at the booth, get a new professional headshot taken and update your professional brand.
This is your profession. This is your industry. APCO Canada is here to serve you and we are looking forward to hearing what you have to say. Join us and make sure #YourVoiceCounts.
